Arthur C. Witherington, 82, a resident of Daphne, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 598 in Fairhope, a Shriner, Eastern Star, Eastern Shore Baptist Church, he served as a Merchant Marine for 30-plus years and was a local business owner since 1972.
Arthur is survived by his two daughters, Alice (Mike) Randall and Sue (David) Smith; two sons, Arthur C. (Tammy) Witherington Jr. and Roger (Delissa) Witherington, all of Daphne; a sister, Dorothy Chandler of Silverhill; five brothers, George Witherington of Mobile, Edward Witherington of Daphne, Harold Witherington of Belforest, James Witherington of Crestview, Fla. and Charles Witherington of Rosinton; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 27, 2014, from 5-8 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Eastern Shore Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
