Arthur Paul (Art) Leca, 80, of Baldwin County, died Feb. 21, 2012. He was born in Pawtucket, R.I., to Joseph and Constansa Leca. Mr. Leca was a member of the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1958 where he reached the rank of staff sergeant. He was a resident of Baldwin County and a longtime associate of International Equipment Distributors Inc. of Foley where he enjoyed attending auto auctions, always looking for that great deal. Earlier in his career he represented truck manufacturers in North Africa. Art was well known among his many friends for his quick wit and remarkable sense of humor. He provided a unique perspective that was typically lighthearted and always memorable. Mr. Leca also enjoyed fishing, boating, was a terrific cook and spoke five languages. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Constansa Leca and two siblings, Raoul Leca and Doris Leca (Dailey). He is survived by siblings, Raymond Leca, Seekonk, Mass., Roy Leca of West Greenwich, R.I., Joseph Leca of El Dorado Hills, Calif., and Maria Alice Leca (Dias) of Colchester, Conn.; six children; Raymond Leca of Amarillo, Texas, Roy Leca of Hobbs, N.M., Noelle Leca of Tiburon, Calif., Amber Leca (Johnson) of Jacksonville, Fla., Timothy Leca of Houston, Texas, and Tiffany Leca (Van Dyke) of Bay City, Texas; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
