Arthur Young Hearn Jr., 91, a native of Citronelle, former resident of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Mobile, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his residence in Fairhope.
He was retired vice-president of H.T. Hearn Engraving Co. in Winston-Salem, N.C., served as president of the Piedmont Civitan Club and served as deacon of First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
Upon moving to Mobile he became a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Lambe Hearn.
He is survived by four sisters, Evelyn Fortenberry of Wilmer, Opal Dougherty of Fairhope, Virginia Hobbs of Fairhope and Lynn Machovoe of Daphne; a brother, Richard Hearn of Columbia, S.C.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the family plot at Pine Crest Cemetery in Citronelle.
