FOLEY, Ala. — Heritage Harbor Days are set for Nov. 7-9, and visitors are sure to enjoy the 8th annual award-winning, “national first” cultural heritage exchange.

J.B. Foley Park/Heritage Park will host the three-day event, which includes huge concerts, storytelling, children’s art village, food, crafts, wooden boat show, fireworks, and of course, “Miss Foley,” the shrimp boat that started it all.

This year the festival will add a backyard barbecue contest, a fiddler’s convention on the bluegrass stage, a parade and more.

A replica of a working potato shed will take center stage complete with equipment and storytellers. Thirty antique tractors will be on display. Cities from around the county will showcase their plans for the Bicentennial Celebration next year.

Our fest is an original and fun, family event. With this spirit in mind, we need your unique perspective to highlight the arts and crafts found in our region. Booth space is available for the following artistic media:  pottery, glass, textiles, found object collage, tile, candle craft, soap making, furniture, metalsmith, wood and leather work. Booth spaces are 10-by-10 feet.

Overnight security is provided. Electrical service is available upon request. The atmosphere will be perfect for hands-on demonstration and discussion of your work.

There is a $15 application fee along with $125 booth fee. Awards totaling $1,000 will be distributed to the arts. Time is running out, the deadline of July 30 has been extended to Aug. 30. Be a part of history in the making.
