Brenda Godwin Artrip, 65, a native of Fairhope and a resident of Robertdale, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 after a brave battle with cancer.
She attended Robertsdale High School and was an employee of Vanity Fair for over 15 years. She was a homemaker and she loved and was dedicated to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband William W. Artrip.
Survivors include two daughters, Jolene Artrip of Tillman’s Corner and Mariah Artrip of Foley; three sons, Parrish (Kathy) Artrip of Robertsdale, Shane (Wendy) Artrip of Summerdale and Cory Artrip of Foley; three sisters, Lula Mae Hastings of Robertsdale, Caroline Worley of Pensacola, Fla., and Linda Bugaj of Mobile; brother, Roy Renae Godwin of Pensacola; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Dakota, Maggie, Haley, Shana, Sierra, Josh, Savannah and Halzey; other relatives and friends.
Visitation begins at 9 a.m. with funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Robertsdale United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the church.
