Atha McGehee LaFlam, 95, a native of Boglusa, La., former resident of Lousiville, Ky., and a longtime resident of Baldwin County, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 in Fairhope.
She was one of the original nurses that assisted in the founding of Holmes Hospital in Foley. She then married Walter Lewis LaFlam in 1937. She was a member of Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Presbyterian Women’s Circle Group.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lewis LaFlam; and two sisters, Eliza McGehee Foil and Dora McGehee Burk.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Montrose Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church, 6620 Spanish Fort Blvd., Spanish Fort, AL 36527.
