MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Alabama Attorney General Troy King will meet with southwest Alabama residents in a town hall meeting tonight in Mobile to provide information and assistance about making claims for financial losses from the BP oil spill. The meeting will be Webcast live for concerned and interested residents outside Alabama’s Gulf Coast area.
The event will take place at 7 p.m., May 12, at Mobile Government Plaza, 205 Government Street. For those unable to attend in person, the town hall meeting can be viewed on the Internet at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/alabama-attorney-general.
King urges Alabamians, "If you're suffering any kind of financial loss due to the oil spill, or if you are facing that probability, join me at a combined Mobile and Baldwin county town hall meeting that could be very helpful to you. Some financial assistance processes are in place right now, and others are being developed on a daily basis. We will explain what help is currently available and how to get it. I also look forward to your questions and suggestions."
