Audrey Oveda Hanks Creamer, 94, born in Frisco City, Ala. and a resident of Robertsdale since 1936, passed away June 20, 2013.
She was the daughter of Lawrence and Beulah Hanks, both deceased. Oveda was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill Creamer; son-in-law, Joe Davis; sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Davis, Linda (Duncan) Hudnall and Jim (Mary) Creamer; sister, Jacqueline Johnson; sister-in-law, Joyce Creamer Russell; six grandchildren, Jeff Davis, Brian (Kae) Davis, Leslie (Todd) Stanton, Ben Hudnall, Lindsay (Daryl) Gipson and Brittany (Jared) Brown; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Although most of her school years were spent in Monroeville schools, she was a 1937 graduate of Robertsdale High School, and a longtime member of the Robertsdale First Baptist Church.
She spent many hours as a devoted volunteer at the Robertsdale Catholic Social Services Thrift Store, and made many special friends while working there.
For more than 40 years, she and her husband, Bill Creamer, were personally involved with the care and upkeep of Rock Cemetery. In later years, her main concern was with fundraising for the maintenance of the cemetery.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 10 a.m., at Mack Funeral Home chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Baldwin Memorial Cemetery.
