On Monday, August 16, 2010, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office along with municipal police agencies will be out enforcing speed limits within the school zones in Baldwin County. Sheriff’s Deputies will also be enforcing laws relating to school buses picking up children along the road ways within Baldwin County.

For the past three years, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has provided extra personnel during the first one to three days of each school year to remind citizens school is back in session. It is important for motorist to obey all of the traffic laws but especially those regarding school zones and school buses during this time.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office along with the Baldwin County Board of Education has produced a Public Service Announcement to remind motorist of this. Interested parties can go to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office website at www.sheriffofbaldwin.com to view this Public Service Announcement.

Thousands of students will return to school on August 16. It is the goal of the Sheriff’s Office along with Baldwin counties municipal police agencies to insure it is a safe and enjoyable return back to school.
