Ashley Michelle Baggett and Dr. Adam Scott Pitts of Nashville, Tenn., were united in marriage April 18, 2009 at Marriott’s Grand Hotel in Point Clear.
The Rev. Tommy Dove officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Byrd B. Baggett III and Jeanne Baggett of Spring Branch, Texas.
She is a 2000 graduate of Tonganoxie (Kan.) High School, and received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of South Alabama in 2004.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. Richard and Janet Pitts of Sapulpa, Okla.
He is a 1987 graduate of Sapulpa (Okla.) High School, received Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Oklahoma in 2000, D.D.S. degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2004 and his M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2007.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Amy Lynn Baggett, sister of bride, of Nashville, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mindy Pitts, sister of bridegroom, of Sapulpa, Okla., Mary Ellen Bost of Little Rock, Ark., Kristina Hoeft of Atlanta, Jami Kaplan of Nashville, Erin Lober of Salt Lake City, Kristen Moody of Kansas City, Mo., Anna Reynolds - Nashville and Kasey Wilkinson of Mobile.
Philip Wong of Norman, Okla., served as best man. Groomsmen were Dr. Coli Crosby of Nashville, Dr. Keith Douglas of Nashville; Chad Kelly of Dallas; Dr. Nima Massoomi, Cupertino, Calif., Dr. Rhett Rains of Tulsa, Okla., Dr. Brandon Ritz of Houston, Aaron Shisler of Houston and Dr. D'mitri Sofianos of Salt Lake City.
Usher was Bryant Austin Baggett, brother of the bride.
Music for the ceremony was provided by a string trio with trumpet.
A reception at Marriott’s Grand Hotel, Juliep Point followed the ceremony. Music/entertainmen was provided by the Tip Tops of Mobile.
After a wedding trip to Little Dix Bay Resort, Virgin Gorda, the couple reside in Nashville.
