Robert Flanders Balch, 82, a native of Cambridge, Mass., reared in Belmont, Mass., and a resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008.

He was a graduate of Belmont High School.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy where he served on the U. S. S. Rodman.

He was a graduate of Harvard University in 1947 and received his M. B. A. in 1950.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Roxby Balch of Fairhope; daughter, Pamela (Stephen) Ewell of Stuttgart, Germany; many other relatives and friends.

Visitation begins at 9 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope.

Interment will be held at 1:15 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla.

The family requests memorial donations be made to your favorite charity or St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
