BOYS

Daphne 48, Gulf Shores 47: Deontaye Buskey hit a 3-pointer with 6.3 seconds left in regulation to give Daphne (14-6, 2-0) a one-point lead and the win in Class 6A Area 2 play. Buskey led the Trojans with 20 points and Teion Stanton added 16 points. The Dolphins were led by Brent Julian with 16 points.  Daphne visits Robertsdale Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Fairhope 74, Murphy 45: Pirates guard Tevin Brown scored 39 points to set a new school record for 3-pointers in a game with nine from outside the arc in the Class 7A, Area 2 win over the Panthers Tuesday. The Pirates (12-4) will host Foley in 7A Area 2 play Friday at 7:30 p.m.

McGill-Toolen 80, Foley 54: T.J. Howard led the Jackets with 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Paris Chambers added 18 for Mc-T. Chris Armstrong led the Lions with 12 points. Anthony Prim and John Davis both added 11 points each for Foley.

GIRLS

Gulf Shores 50, Daphne 41: Kennedy Cronan led Gulf Shores with 14 points, Chloe Roberts scored 13 and Caitlyn Martin added 11. The Trojans were led by Krista Wright’s game-high 22.

Bayside Academy 40, Cottage Hill Christian 18: Lauren Chastang led Bayside with 14 points in the Class 3A Area 1 win.

McGill-Toolen 67, Foley 19:  Shauntia Battle scored 14 points for McGill-Toolen (16-2). Makayla Shoots knocked down four 3-pointers to lead Foley with 15 points.
