ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — More than 800 people are expected to attend the 2012 Baldwin County Senior Lifestyle Expo on Wednesday at the Baldwin County Coliseum in Robertsdale.
The inaugural event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature a health fair, information on senior identity theft and DJs playing music with a target group of 50 and older.
The Coffee Café will provide Royal Cup Coffee beginning at 9 a.m. on Expo day and Valley Food Services will provide a hamburger box lunch, while supplies last. Lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m. The food service area will be located in the northeast corner of the Expo area.
The free event will also include a variety of 8 x 10 exhibition booth spaces with opportunities for prize giveways and door prizes.
At a recent Baldwin County Commission meeting pokesperson Iris Ethridge told Commissioners that vendor space is sold out. She also said she has contacted all chambers of commerce and municipalities.
“We were surprised at those two words, sold out, but there is a lot of interest from vendors and we want people from all over the county to attend,” Ethridge said.
The health fair will offer blood screening, blood pressure check and various other preventive testing. The Sheriff’s Office will provide staff to discuss senior issues related to safety and financial scams.
