FAIRHOPE , Alabama– The Baldwin County Commission will dedicate renovations completed this year at the Baldwin County Fairhope Satellite Courthouse during a ceremony at 12.p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011.
The ceremony will be held at the courthouse located at 1100 Fairhope Ave. in Fairhope.
The dedication ceremony will commemorate the completion of renovations and expansion of the satellite courthouse, according to a commission news release. Special guests will include local and state elected officials, with a performance by the Fairhope High School Jazz Band.
The commission approved the courthouse renovation and expansion project in May 2010. The renovation of the courthouse has expanded the building from 21,764 square feet to 44,499 square feet, the release stated. The project cost $4,583,274 and was completed by Stuart Contracting Company Inc. and Architect Hatch Mott MacDonald.
The completion of this project has provided additional space for officers of the commission, probate, revenue, Sheriff’s Office and judicial department services, according to the county.
