BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Baldwin County residents can view scheduling of all criminal and civil court dockets and view case numbers at the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office website.
Martha Simmons, a spokesperson for the District Attorney’s Office, said the “Just One Look” link became functional Thursday and will provide free, but limited information on cases generated in Baldwin County.
“We think it’s a good way for the court system to be transparent, and people are interested in what goes to court,” she said.
Simmons also said the service will reduce case status calls to court clerks concerning scheduling, and is the only county agency offering the service.
“With the cost of gas and the size of Baldwin County, this will save time and money for anyone interested in court cases.” she said.
“It also will be helpful for employers when a worker says they have a court date for a traffic violation or other charge. The employer can check online and verify the court date and time.”
The site is at baldwincountydistrictattorney.com. Click on “Today’s Court Dockets” at left of screen.
The website is a component of subscription-based alacourt.com, a premium site which lists case monitoring, case number searches and name searches.
“Just One Look” is free and encompasses dockets for all Baldwin County circuit and district judges, case numbers and name searches within a one-week period.
