ROBERTSDALE, Alabama --- The Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance has announced that President/CEO Robert Ingram will step down from his current role and assume a non-supervisory support role to the new chief executive officer.
The Alliance began advertising for a new CEO on Wednesday. A complete job description is available and can be requested via email to bcedaemployment@gmail.com.
Resumes outlining all qualifications shoujld be emailed to the same address and will be accepted until July 6, or until the job is filled, whichever comes first, according to a release issued Wednesday by the BCEDA.
Ingram has agreed to remain in his position as president/CEO until Nov. 1 or until a new president/CEO is hired, according to the release.
In the interim, Ingram will coordinate the search for his successor, guide the organization through its ongoing strategic planning process and continue his role as president/CEO.
“After coordinating the search for my replacement, I will step back, slow down and assist in the transition, and hopefully continue to help in a limited capacity with investor recruitment and relations, or in other activities requested by the CEO,” Ingram said. “And, I will always use my contacts and influence to help market the absolute best large industrial site in the U.S.”
A Personnel Committee has been appointed by Chairman Joe Bullock to work with Ingram in the search for his successor, and to immediately assume other responsibilities related to organizational changes which might be needed to facilitate the hiring of and orderly transition to a new CEO.
The new CEO will be required to have extensive direct economic development experience with at least eight years of direct economic development experience with at least three years of economic development experience at a local level.
