DAPHNE, Ala. — The Baldwin County Historical Society will next meet Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2:30 p.m. in the Old Methodist Church Museum of Daphne.
Guest speaker Philip Carr, an anthropologist and archaeologist who specializes in the prehistory of the Southeast United States, has devoted study to cultural heritage in southwest Alabama. Much of his work has been directed to furthering an understanding of ancient hunter-gatherer lifestyles and stone-tool technologies that existed in this area.
Carr received a bachelor’s in anthropology from the University of Louisville in 1988; a master’s in anthropology from the University of Tennessee in 1991; and a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Tennessee in 1995.
The museum is located at 405 Dryer Ave.
