BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Baldwin County Sheriff Huey “Hoss” Mack said a Website launched earlier this month will provide more listings, downloadable forms and an expanded “frequently asked questions” section.
Viewers of Sheriffofbaldwin.com will find information on civil process, sex offender compliance, patrol investigations and Baldwin County Corrections Center information and inmate listings.
An employees-only area will be accessible for deputies in patrol vehicles for immediate information distribution.
Mack said the expanded site now has more than 50 areas and will provide more public access.
About 15,000 people are booked yearly at Baldwin County Corrections Center, deputies respond to about 85,000 calls and 500,000 people enter the county’s three courthouse.
“That’s a lot of people and there are lots of questions,” Mack said.
Mack said the new site also will provide the public with current information in the case of natural disasters or emergency situations.
“The Web is a platform everybody uses and we plan to keep expanding it,” Mack said.
He also is asking for public input about adding new features.
