Baldwin County Sheriff's Boys Ranch receives money from BP

SUMMERDALE, Ala. - British Petroleum gas station owners announced the Baldwin County Sheriff's Boys Ranch in Summerdale would receive $3,250 from the BP Fueling Communities Program.

The money will be used to improve the ranch's swimming pool. When inspected by the health department this year, the ranch was informed that the pool was unsafe for the residents.

“The moneys awarded from BP to the Alabama Sheriff's Youth Ranch in Baldwin County will be used to bring our swimming pool to code to include standard requirements for the safety, health and well-being of our youth who reside full time at the ranch,” ranch manager Jim Harmon stated in a press release.
