BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Weeks Bay Watershed Project and the Weeks Bay Reserve are hosting the 16th annual Bay Area River Cleanup on May 12 to remove trash and debris in the waterways around Weeks Bay.
The project recruits citizens to pick up discarded materal along the banks and under bridge crossing to protect the water resources, according to Michael Shelton, Watershed Coastal Training Program Coordinator.
Shelton asked the Baldwin Commission on Tuesday to provide roll-off containers for trash removal. The event will be at Fish River Marina.
