Baldwin EMC announces opening of offices

SUMMERDALE, Ala. – In a press release issued just after 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Baldwin EMC announced that offices are now open for business.

“The phones were manned through the night and now we are able to open our doors again to serve our members,” according to the release.

The South Baldwin District office located in Orange Beach is limited to only the drive up window Wednesday. Both the Summerdale office and the North Baldwin District office located in Bay Minette are fully operational. Most business can also be conducted through the website, baldwinemc.com.

“Our crews are continuing to work around the clock restoring outages as they occur,” it was stated in the release. “Restoration has been slower than normal due to the hazardous road conditions they are encountering. Fortunately, outages have been minimal.”

Baldwin EMC members can report power outages 24-hours a day, seven days a week by calling 251-989-6247.

Baldwin EMC is a member-owned electric cooperative serving approximately 68,000 meters in Baldwin and Monroe Counties in southwest Alabama, including Alabama’s Gulf Coast.
