Baldwin summer sports camps coming up

FAIRHOPE, Alabama - Several summer sports camps are coming up in June and July in Baldwin County.

Spanish Fort High School basketball camp: The Spanish Fort High School boys basketball program will be hosting its Camp of Champions on June 26-27 from 3-5 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The cost is only $25 and includes 1st – 6th graders. Coach Dru Powell and his staff will be conducting the camp and will cover some of the basics of the game, including defense, ball handling, passing, and shooting. No pre-registration required.

Point Clear Tennis Camp: The Point Clear Tennis and Swim Club hosts it’s tennis camps this summer for grades K-12, beginner and intermediate levels. Campers will be divided by age and ability level for tennis instruction beginning the first week of June and ending the first week of August. The camps begin at 9 a.m., Mon.-Thurs. Lunch each day is included, followed by swimming until 1 p.m. Tuition is $150/wk for first child and $125/wk for siblings. Orange Beach Summer Kids Tennis camps: The Orange Beach Summer Kids Tennis Program will have three sessions for children seven years and up. Sessions will be 24-27 as well as July 8-11, 15-18 and 22-25. Cost for Junior Clinics will be $80 per person/per 2 week session (12 maximum students per class) or $50 per person per 1 week or $15 per person per 1 day. Orange Beach Tiny Tots Tennis Camp: The Orange Beach Tiny Tots Tennis Camp is June 24-27 at the Orange Beach Rec Center Gym. The camp is for children ages 4-6 who must be accompanied by an adult. The camp is $35. To sign up call 251-974-6387 or 251-233-9628 or register at the pro shop. The camp will last from 6-6:45 p.m. each night.

Robertsdale football camp coming up: The Robertsdale High School football team will host a football camp June 25-27 from 3-6 p.m. at the RHS practice field. Visit Robertsdale City Hall to register. Contact football coach Brian Campbell at 251-947-5467 for more information.

Fairhope Girls Softball League offers camp with Fieldhouse staff and USA Jags: The Fairhope Girls Softball League will be offering a three day camp with the Fieldhouse staff and South Alabama Jaguars. The camp runs July 9-11 at Founders Park and costs $80 per player. Players can play for free if a parent or grandparent donates three to four hours in our concession stand for one of the next two tournaments. we have tournaments June 21-22 and July 12-14. Pensacola State boys basketball camps: Registration is open now for Pensacola State College’s Summer Basketball Camp. The Pete Pena Summer Basketball Camp is 8 a.m. until noon July 8 – 11 or July 15 – 18 at the Lou Ross Center, Building 3, on the Pensacola campus. It is geared for boys ages 7 – 14. The camp will offer individual and group instruction from Pensacola State College Head Coach Pete Pena, PSC coaching staff, and players. Cost is $100.00 per camper per week.
