MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Three incoming seniors from Baldwin County schools were selected to represent the South baseball team in the annual North-South All-star games in July.
Pitcher James Isaac Bradford of Robertsdale, outfielder Chase Domino of Fairhope and infielder Jordan Ebert of Baldwin County High in Bay Minette made the cut for the 15th games which features Alabama high schools elite incoming seniors.
The baseball doubleheader will be played July 11, at 4 p.m. at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery.
Baldwin County coach Peter Bezeredi and Fairhope coach Stu Fuller said their players were key to their teams successes.
“The baseball program is very proud of Jordan playing in the North-South all star game,” Bezeredi said. “He has had a tremendous high school career and is very deserving of the honor.”
The Tigers made it to the 6A state championship series last month finishing second in the state.
Ebert hit .409 and .404 for the Tigers in 2010 and 2011 and compiled a new BCHS record for home runs.
Domino has been a three-year starter for the Pirates hitting in the upper third of the line up the past two seasons.
“He has been a great player for us the last two years,” Fuller said. “It’s a great honor, but he is most deserving of it.”
Bradford has been an effective right hander and a dominating 6-foot, 3-inch presence on the mound for the Golden Bears the last two years.
The Alabama All-Star Sports Week runs from July 11-15.
