Mary Ann Palmer and Bea Allard, St. Joseph Church in Lillian, pack up their motor home with gifts for boys and girls for Christmas 2010. This year all gifts will be delivered to Catholic Social Services in Robertsdale on Monday, Dec. 5.

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — Catholic churches throughout Baldwin County have been signing up “Santa’s Helpers” to help make some small dreams come true for boys and girls. The Christmas Sharing project is sponsored by Catholic Social Services located in Robertsdale.

Parishioners have picked up ornament name tags listing the child’s name, age and gift request. They purchase the gift and return it to the church CSS representative. Gifts are due back to CSS by Monday, Dec. 5.

Those who have missed out on picking up an ornament may make a cash donation to be used for turkeys and other treats for Christmas dinner. For information, contact Catholic Social Services, 251-947-2293.
