DAPHNE, Ala.—All of First National Bank of Baldwin County’s locations will be collecting donations of supplies and funds for The Haven in June.
The banks will assist Fairhope’s no-kill animal shelter as part of its “Your community is our Community” campaign. Donations will be collected at the bank’s locations in Daphne, Foley, Fairhope, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Bay Minette.
In a news release, branch manager Connie Wilson said both The Haven and First National Bank offer service to the community, just different types.
“We are a community bank. We are all animal people, with pets of our own; some have adopted from The Haven; therefore, selecting The Haven was only natural,” Wilson said.
Kathie Ono, office manager for The Haven, said the shelter needs funds and supplies. Supplies needed include sheets, towels, blankets, air fresheners, non-clumping cat litter, bleach, copy paper, tape, letter-sized envelopes and 30-gallon drawstring trash bags. Donations can be dropped off in the designated boxes at all branches of the bank beginning in June.
Donors will have the opportunity to create a “Paw Print” card, which will be displayed at their branch. Any donors who have pets of their own can bring a photo of their pet for display as well.
The bank will also offer a free checking account to all donors if qualified by the bank.
