Barbara Frances Zwayer died peacefully at her home Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010.
She was the daughter of Dr. Wayland Zwayer and Marguerite Condon Zwayer and had been a resident of Fairhope for the past 40 years.
She was an accomplished organist with a music degree from the University of Michigan. As a buyer for major department stores, she lived in a number of cities including St. Louis, Detroit and New York.
She came to Fairhope to serve as director of the Organic School and later entered the real estate field, first with Mike Ford Realty and then with her own company, Cardinal Realty.
She was a member of Fairhope Christian Church, where she was very active as long as health permitted.
Survivors include her caregivers and by many loving friends, including her three “children,” Molly Allison, Megg Edgar and David Dyson.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
