Barbara S. Priester, 79, a native of Stonewall, Miss., and a longtime resident of Daphne, died Monday, Feb., 2012. She served as bookkeeper for the USS Battleship Alabama for many years. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all She was a devout Christian whose spiritual gift was in serving others. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Priester; parents, George and Euna Sinclair; and her brother, Roy Sinclair. She is survived by her son, George (Kerri) Priester, Huntsville; daughter, Jane P. (Jack) Miles, Daphne; six grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley (Dawson) Curtis of Gulfport, Miss., and Shelby Mattos, Montgomery; sister-in-law, Nina Sinclair and many relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 1, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Jubilee Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes, Daphne.
