Barney E. Kilgore, age 82, born 1930 in Corona, Ala.,moved to Robertsdale at the age of 11, and was a current resident of Gulf Shores. He passed away Sept. 28, 2012.
Kilgore served in the Korean Campaign in the U.S. Army. He worked 43 years in the Milk Delivery Business, 23 years at Woodhaven Dairy and 20 years at Barbers Milk Company. He was a member of the Robertsdale Masonic Lodge #821 for 50 years and served one year in the Grand Lodge of Alabama. He is survived by wife of 56 years, Georgia Kilgore of Gulf Shores; two daughters, Stephenie (Rick) Ousley of Robertsdale; Stacey Pierce of Silverhill; son, Vance (Jena) Kilgore of Brewton; brother, James Kilgore of Robertsdale; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Adam, Amy, Tiffany, Christina, Rick, Hunter and Bayleigh and great-grandson, Colton. Thank you to the ladies at Mitchell Cancer Center in Fairhope, the Gentiva Home Health and Covenant Hospice Group for your special care. A special thank you to all his friends that called him and came to visit with him. Special thanks to Sherri. Funeral services wil be held Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Fairhope Memory Gardens. Funeral arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Highway 59, Robertsdale.
