MOBILE, Ala. — The Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom Memorial Fund Cruise-In that was earlier rained out will now be held June 6, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile.
The cost to take part is $10 for vehicles registered in the Cruise-In and a $2 park use fee for spectators.
This Cruise-In was previously scheduled for May 23, but due to weather was cancelled.
The Gear Jammers Car Club of Baldwin County presents the event, and is inviting all car club members or individuals who own vintage cars and trucks to participate in this very important and worthy fundraising event.
It will pay honor to our military personnel past and present. Event planners are hoping to have over 600 vehicles on display.
Registration begins at 9, and at 11 there will be a presentation of colors and memorial observance by 1st Lt. Nathan L. Cox, USMC.
All money raised will go toward the Iraqi/Enduring Freedom Memorial Fund, for a memorial to be built at Battleship Park. This project was started by Cox, a former Marine infantry officer and Iraq veteran.
