BAY MINETTE, Ala. — The Bay Minette 15U All-Stars are heading to the World Series after earning a bid at the state tournament. Bay Minette defeated Luverne, Abbeyville, Central-Florence and Greenville (twice) to earn their pool and advance to the championship game.

Bay Minette fell short in the championship game against Butler and were crowned the Boys and Majors Dixie Basebal 15U Alabama Silver Winner. Both teams have advanced to the World Series to be played July 21-24 at Ozark, Alabama.

Ozark was unanimously selected as the host of the inaugural 15U World Series. The tournament will be played at the historic Eagle Stadium which was built in 1946 and has served as home to both professional and amateur baseball. The stadium has been renovated but still has the look of the 1950s professional baseball stadium.
