BAY MINETTE — The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Brandy Nichole Jackson for robbery in the first degree in connection with an alleged robbery that occurred late, Monday, Nov. 22.
According to information provided by the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the corner of Robinson Road and Pine Grove Road Extension in reference to a reported robbery. Deputies met with Sergio Zamora who said that he was picked up by two black females and a small child at the Shell Station in Bay Minette and driven to a cemetery on Christen Hill Road. Upon arrival, he was ordered out of the vehicle and one of the females pulled a knife and placed it to the victim’s throat. The suspects allegedly demanded all of his money. The victim turned over approximately $750 cash to the suspects and they fled away.
Zamora gave the deputies a description of the suspects and their vehicle to include the tag number. The driver’s license connected to the tag returned to Brandy Jackson, 25, of Bay Minette. Zamora told deputies that he had offered the women $20 for a ride to Robertson’s Wrecker where his vehicle was located.
Deputies were transporting Zamora to the Bay Minette sheriff’s office when they spotted the suspect vehicle. Contact was made with vehicle and Zamora was able to identify the driver, Brandy Jackson, as the woman who had allegedly held a knife to him. Jackson was arrested and taken to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Corrections Center. The vehicle was occupied by another black female and a small child, but Zamora was unable to identify them and they were released. A large knife and small amount of U.S. currency was located in the vehicle.
Deputies interviewed Jackson, who said Theresa Maria Thomas, 24, was with her when the robbery of Zamora took place. Jackson attempted to show deputies where Thomas was staying, but they were unable to locate Thomas.
Deputies are currently searching for Theresa Maria Thomas, aka “Rat,” of Dickman Road in Bay Minette. Thomas is wanted for robbery in the first degree.
If anyone has information where Thomas may be, they are asked to call the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office at (251) 937-0202.
