Bay Rivers Art Guild plans March activities

DAPHNE, Ala. — •March’s Second Saturday Series, “Use a Grid to Draw” with Valley O’Neal, will be March 13, from 9 a.m. until noon. Just $30 with all supplies included. Call the office to enroll, 621-0659.

•Members’ Gallery 2010 will begin on March 15, delivery, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Members are encouraged to bring one or two framed pieces no larger than 16-by-20 inches to sell and, of course, packaged note cards. The $10 annual hanging fee and signing of the Conditions of Exhibition apply. Call the office with questions.

•The Fifth Annual Baldwin County High School Seniors’ College Scholarship Judged Art Show Awards Ceremony will take place on March 18, at noon, at BRAG. Dr. Elizabeth Manci is scheduled to make the awards presentations. This show will be exhibited until April 11.

•“The Art of Seeing Light (And How To Use It)” workshop with Ron Thomson, March 26 and 27, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thomson begins with drawing exercises that quickly focus the attention on aspects of light and form that are pivotal to the success of the painting that follows.

•BRAG’s three-month OUTREACH Exchange occurs March 30. Members are welcome to hang paintings for sale in a variety of local businesses. Submit original artwork only. Marsha Herron has volunteered to make the arrangements. Contact her at marshaherron@yahoo.com or (251) 709-6086.
