GULF SHORES, Ala. — James and Dianna Wells and Chloe from Bay Title Insurance Company traveled to Montgomery Nov. 12, 2008 to receive Bay Title’s second consecutive Governor’s Award for Coastal Clean-up. Bay’s award was given in the Business and Industry category.
Bay Title’s employees from the Mobile, Daphne and Gulf Shores offices chose to clean-up Robinson Island in Orange Beach on Sept. 20, 2008 as part of the National Coastal Clean-up campaign. The Coastal Clean-up is designed to remove debris from our shores, collect data on the amount and type of debris, as well as educate the public on marine pollution and its hazards.
This year, more than 4,800 volunteers participated in the Alabama Coastal Clean-up; concerned citizens, schools, municipalities and private businesses all took part.
The 2009 Coastal Clean-up will be on Sept. 19.
