Bayshore Christian baseball opens with a pair of wins

LOXLEY, Ala.— Bayshore Christian opened the Panhandle Christian baseball season with a 25-1 win over Aletheia Christian and an 11-1 win over Trinitas.

Miles Thomas got the win over Aletheia for the Eagles with support from Charlie Brock. Thomas gave up no hits, struck out four, walked five, but picked up the run. Brock gave up one hit, struck out three and walked none in closing for Bayshore.

At the plate, Bryant Brock led the Eagles with four RBIs off three hits, including a double. Sam Malone had an RBI double and an RBI single. Thomas added a 2-run single as eight Eagles combined for 12 hits and 16 RBIs. 

Bayshore 11, Trinitas 1

The Eagles (2-0) took an early lead then added several runs down the stretch. Charlie Brock picked up the win on the mound and helped himself at the plate. He gave up no earned runs in the victory with three hits, six strikeouts and one walk allowed. At bat he reached base four times, including a double.

Max Jones, Trevor Thrasher and Nathan Vincent each delivered RBI singles for Bayshore. Vincent also drove in two runs on a fielder’s choice and Bryant Brock drove in another run on a fielder’s choice.

The Eagles travel to Atmore Christian School today, host Lighthouse-Pensacola March 8 and take on local rival Central Christian Thursday, March 10 at 4 p.m.
