The title match win was the 58th in a row for the Lady Admirals and Schilling who could record their 11th consecutive state crown, Schilling’s 18th and the school’s 21st (state record) if they go all the way.
The last leg of the challenge starts with Winston County at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
CLASS 5A: Spanish Fort made it to the seeding rounds of the 5A Super Regional by blanking Demopolis 3-0 (25-10, 25-1, 25-9) and outlasting Benjamin Russell in a dramatic five setter 25-19, 21-25, 26-24, 21-25,15-10.

“We have not been since 2005 as 5A (when our first graduating senior class graduated),” Spanish Fort head coach Barclay Kercher said. “Our goal is to play more than one game and this is possible if we play our game. I know this team has the potential to be in the finals and hopefully they will continue to believe and achieve. We have seen Lawrence County in the Shrimp Festival so the girls know what we are up against in game one.”
