Bayside Academy head coach Phil Lazenby has a good-news, bad-news scenario ahead for 2010. Most of his skill position starters are returning, but an expanded Region 1 in 3A has added even more powerhouses to the schedule.

"There is not an easy team on our schedule this year," he said. "Because of the new region, they are all tough. We play the first two at home, Millry and T.R. Miller at home. Millry is a always a test. Every team we play is a test.

“I think we are going to be pretty good. We have got some good skill people coming back. Basically all of them except we lost one split end. Sometimes though no matter how good you are it comes down to how good the other team is and we have to face some very good ones week-in and week-out this year. But that's the mark of a champion, though, you find a way to win. You might not have your best night, but still find a way to win. That's what we have to do."
