BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Bay Minette Police arrested nine students at Baldwin County High School shortly after the first bell of the day. They were involved or associated with two fights on campus. Seven are juveniles, two are 18 and considered adults, nine arrests total – eight females, one male.
Baldwin County High School has a school resource officer, assigned there by Bay Minette Police Department. Police and administrators handled the matter swiftly and appropriately. No weapons were involved. There is a rumor that pepper spray was involved. Bay Minette Police Chief Mike Rowland says no pepper spray was used. Chief Rowland has complete information regarding arrests. Each student will be suspended and will face an expulsion hearing. Chief Rowland says it appears the disagreements among these students began off campus. Student fighting and bullying will not be tolerated and will be dealt with appropriately.
