SPANISH FORT, Alabama --- On Friday, March 16, 10 a.m., at David’s Catfish House in Spanish Fort, the annual legislative meeting of the Baldwin County Retired Educators will be held.
This event gives retired educators a chance to meet, greet and ask pertinent questions to legislators.
It has been a very active year in Montgomery. Members and their guests are asked to attend this very important meeting. Legislators who will be attending are Sen. Trip Pittman, Rep. Joe Faust, Rep. Steve McMillan, Rep. Alan Baker and Rep. Harry Shiver.
This is the most important meeting of the year and a large crowd is expected. So come and be an integral part of democracy in action.
Applications for two $500 scholarships for high school seniors, who plan on becoming a teachers, are available in the guidance office at each high school in Baldwin County.
As usual great door prizes are available. The slate of officers for 2012-2013 will be presented. Come and learn why legislators vote the way they do, meet old friends, and make new ones.
