SEMINOLE, Alabama — A month-long investigation has resulted in five arrests, suspects identified as being members of a property crime organization based in the Seminole area.
According to a release issued Wednesday by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the Uniform Services Division responded to a request for assistance from the Escambia County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office on July 21 regarding an in-progress residential burglary investigation.
According to the report, deputies discovered 32-year-old Tina Marie Sassoni of Elberta at a dwelling on Hunting Club Road in Seminole, along with several items of stolen property from the burglary.
Sassoni was charged with two counts, first degree receiving stolen property. She is currently listed on the Baldwin County Corrections Center website as being in jail without bond.
A month-long follow-up Investigation from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division resulted in a residential search warrant, which resulted in five arrests, a stolen firearm recovered, and $29,000 in stolen property returned to owners. Several suspects have been identified as being members of a property crime organization based in the Seminole area.
Other arrests include:
• Kevin Lee Boyington, 52, of Seminole, charged with one count, receiving stolen property, first degree; and three felony property crime warrants with the Escambia County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office. Released, no bond specified.
• Marjorie Helen Vitito, 49, of Seminole, charged with unlawful possession or receipt of controlled substances (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia, use or possession. She has been released on a $500 bond.
• Michael Edward Davis, 49, of Seminole, charged with unlawful possession or receipt of controlled substances (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia, use or possession. Released on a $500 bond.
• Justin Glynn Thompson, 37, of Seminole, charged with first degree receiving stolen property and third degree receiving stolen property. Released, no bond specified.
