Beach Cite donates kitchen items to Boys Ranch

SUMMERDALE, Ala. – One well-deserving organization that serves the public in Baldwin County is the recent recipient of a major donation from another nonprofit organization in the community. Beach Cite Studios, Inc., has donated their entire kitchen facilities to the Alabama Sheriffs’ Boys Ranch located in Summerdale.

The donated items; which include two sets of Jenn Air double ovens, Jenn Air dishwasher, cook top, multiple sinks, counter tops, in addition to a full compliment of cabinets, will allow the boys ranch to completely remodel and expand an antiquated kitchen area that had been in need of updating for quite some time, according to Jim Harmon, Director of Ranch Life for the local chapter in Summerdale.

“It is not only the quantity, but the quality of the items being donated that is so overwhelming.” said Harmon.

The Alabama Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches is a charitable, nonprofit corporation, sponsored by the Alabama Sheriffs’ Association and managed by a Board of Trustees. The Ranch program is funded almost entirely by private donations from concerned individuals, churches, civic clubs, corporations and foundations.

“We are forever grateful for the generosity shown by the good people that support the work we do.” he said.

The Alabama Sheriff’s Youth Ranches by their mission provide Christian, family-style homes for Alabama’s needy, neglected, or abused, school-age children in an atmosphere where they may grow spiritually and physically into productive, responsible, and happy adults.

Beach CITE Studios closed its facility in Orange Beach last fall according to Jim Coughlin, Executive Director.

“Following some very unfortunate delays, we were finally able to make this donation to a well deserving organization”, said Coughlin. “We are quite pleased that our underutilized items have found an excellent new home in Baldwin County.”

Beach CITE Studios, Inc. (BCS) is a 501 (c )3 non-profit organization that was originally formed to provide an opportunity to serve a “Community Interactive Teaching Experience” that could enrich the lives of the guests and residents of the Gulf Coast Area.
