It was not just another New Year’s Eve at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores where partiers from all across the region gathered during the weekend to send off 2010 and bring in 2011 in style.
With severe weather threatening to put a damper on festivities all along the Gulf Coast, organizers held true to plans, making it unquestionably a night to remember.
“Guests enjoyed the fresh, creative menu that our executive chef, Greg Buschmohle, is know for,” said Eva Faircloth, director of public relations for Spectrum Resorts, owners of The Beach Club.
Before dinner, everyone enjoyed complimentary Southbeach hors d’ouevres at the bar.
Dinner was served beginning at 8 p.m., and the music and dancing cranked up around 9.
“The Mulch Brothers kept the party going with their own hits, as well as old favorites,” Faircloth said.
From Nashville, The Mulch Brothers have opened for such well-known artists as Big & Rich, Shenandoah, Keith Anderson and Bon Jovi, and the duo recently signed a recording deal with Savannah Music Group and Savannah Records.
Mesmerized by the 25-minute-long beachside fireworks extravaganza, partiers as well as those staying at The Beach Club bundled up to brave the 30 mph wind gusts in order to watch the show.
“The night ended with one of the biggest and longest fireworks shows on the coast,” Faircloth said. “It was an exciting, fun and safe evening since many of our party guests stayed at The Beach Club for the weekend.
According to Faircloth, Spectrum Resorts welcomed 150 people for the dinner, music and dancing.
