Dr. Christie J. Bean and Alfred Hamilton Blanton Jr. were united in marriage on Saturday , June 6, 2009 at Trinity Episcopal Church in New Orleans.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Debra Bean of Fairhope. She is the granddaughter of the Rev and Mrs Richard Gaston, Fairhope. The bridegroom is the son of Al and Julie Blanton of Lawrenceville, N.J. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Cleveland Blanton, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mr and Mrs Robert Merrill Brown, of Napa Valley, Calif.
The bride wore a beautiful couture, mermaid style gown of sequined and pearled French Alencon lace over candlelight satin. Fitted trumpet silhouette with dramatic open back and chapel train. The gown was designed and made by the bridegroom’s mother, Julie Blanton.
Amy Nonelle Everhard, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Merrill Catherine Ann Blanton, Taylor Alexandra Ann Blanton, sisters of the bridegroom; Dr. Julia McMath Stewart, Dr. Diana DeCostis Smith and Dr. Caroline Cade Reynolds.
Brice Coulson Blanton, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Other attendants were Brian Jacob Mulley, Gregory Ray Bean, brother of the bride, Charles Edouard de la Vergne III, Dr. Geoffrey Provost Stone and Jonathan Fabbro Keephart.
Flower girls were Ariana Lynn Everhard and Jayde Rogue Springs. Ring bearer was Skylar Edward Everhard.
The bride is in residency at Tulane hospital in New Orleans. The bridegroom is employed as an underwriter in the Commercial Banking division of Capital One in New Orleans.
The couple plan reside in New Orleans and plan to honeymoon in the south of France.
