Ben T. “Bubber” Brooks Jr., 71, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home in Redland, Ala.
Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 42 years, Harriett Davidson Brooks; a son, Ben T. Brooks III; mother, Frances R. Brooks; sister, Claudia Harman; mother-in-law, Mary Davidson; and a close friend, Rich Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ben T. Brooks Sr.; and his father-in-law, Harley A. Davidson.
Bubber and his father were in the wholesale auto parts business for many years, and after his father passed away, he continued to run the business until his retirement.
Bubber was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time at his condo at Orange Beach with two special friends, Wetzel Wood and Randy Hester, on his boat, “Salt Shaker.”
The family would like to extend a special appreciation to Dr. Scott McDaniel, nurse Leslie Ward and the wonderful staff of Montgomery Cancer Center, Montgomery.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 19, 2014, from noon until 1 p.m., at Jeffcoat Funeral Home in Tallassee.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 1 p.m., from Jeffcoat Funeral Home chapel, with Minister Ryan Martin officiating.
Burial will follow in Carrville Cemetery.
