Betty “Aunt Bet” Brown Taylor, 91, of Robertsdale, Alabama, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016.

Aunt Bet was a loving and caring sister, aunt and a friend to many who will be dearly missed by all.

She was a member of the Robertsdale United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the RUMC Helen Novotny Circle. Aunt Bet was also known for being the Mayor of Mamma Lou’s.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Leslie and Leah Ashley Taylor; four sisters, Margaret Macon, Eugenia Stander, Helen Lowery and Leah Calvert; two brothers, Bunk Taylor and Tom Taylor; niece, Jane Macon Kelly; and two nephews, Clay Calvert and Vance Macon.

She is survived by her sister, Maryed Taylor Flowers of Robertsdale, Ala.; sister-in-law, Wilma Morris Taylor, Pensacola, Florida; five nieces, Ashley Taylor Miller of Pensacola, Florida, Bama Lowery Wiley of Robertsdale, Alabama, Leslie Taylor Cox of Little River, Alabama, Leah Lowery Stander of Daphne, Alabama and Betty Ann Lowery Spader of Florala, Alabama; nine nephews, Leslie “Pete” Macon of Silverhill, Alabama, Tommy Wesley Taylor of Seminole, Alabama, Eddie Flowers of Robertsdale, Alabama, Dennis Calvert of Daphne, Alabama, Ross Flowers of Robertsdale, Alabama, Jim Ed Lowery of Deatsville, Alabama, Tony Lowery of Robertsdale, Alabama, Harley Buddy Flowers of Mobile, Alabama and Jakie Lowery of Robertsdale, Alabama; numerous great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Marsha Campbell.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Robertsdale United Methodist Church.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be held in the Hail Memorial Cemetery in Robertsdale.
