Beverly fought a long battle against cancer. She was a fighter and an inspiration to everyone who met her and everyone who heard her story.

Beverly was a devoted Alabama fan, who greatly enjoyed watching college football on Saturdays with her friends and family.

She also had a great passion for animals, and hoped to one day open a pet sanctuary.

All donations will go towards final expenses and fulfilling her wish of starting the pet sanctuary.

Beverly donated her body to the USA Medical School in hopes they can find the missing piece to the cure for cancer.

A memorial service is being held in Gulf Shores on Jan. 11, 2014 at 2 p.m. Directions and further details can be found on the Beverly Salter Memorial Benefit Facebook page.
