FAIRHOPE, Ala. — The Lyons Share Gallery, 330 De La Mare Ave. in Fairhope, will present the works of Sloane Bibb, the featured artist for December, during First Friday ArtWalk, Dec. 5.

Bibb is an Alabama native currently living in Decatur.

He is the co-owner of an ad agency in Athens, but his true love is his artwork.

Influenced by the advertsing industry, he incorporates elements of pop culture into his paintings.

He uses acrylic paint and “odds and ends” to create his work.

From junk that he discovers along the side of the road to unusual finds on e-bay, Bibb is able to bring life to random items made of metal, wood and wax.

He says these elements create a rich, multi-layered texture that are best appreciated in person.
