Billie Joyce Rhea Holsclaw, 84, of Robertsdale, formerly of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away at her residence Monday, May 26, 2014 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Holsclaw was a member of the Eastside Christian Church.

She was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late William and Myra Campbell Rhea.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Delano Holsclaw, in 1990.

Survivors include her children, Roy Wayne (Brigette) Holsclaw of Florala and Judy Carol Brill and John Steven (Wanda) Holsclaw, both of Robertsdale; seven grandchildren, Bradley Holsclaw of Crestview, Fla., Ashley Holsclaw of Fort Walton Beach, Michael Decker of Defuniak Springs, Shane Patrick (Dee Dee) Brill of Robertsdale, Michael (Debra) Brill of Silverhill, John J. (Sharon) Holsclaw of Ohio and Chasity (Dustin) McKlemurry of Gulfport, Miss.; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sarah Allen of Maryland; two brothers, Don Rhea and Ronnie Rhea, both of Elizabethton, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Holsclaw will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 in Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home in Elizabethton, Tenn., with ministers Tommy Brill and Randall Johnson officiating. Music will be under the direction of Tommy Brill.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service.

The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park, with Ernie Depew officiating.

Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
