Billy Carl Lomax, 81, a lifelong resident of Baldwin County, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015.
Mr. Lomax enjoyed fishing, hunting, barbequing, his favorite dog, Zeke and gardening. He was an Atlanta Braves fan.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He entered the military at age 17 during the Korean War and was a boilermaker on the USS Valley Forge.
Mr. Lomax is survived by his wife of 42 years, Hilda Lomax of Silverhill; three children, Eric (Yolly) Lomax of Pacifica, Calif., Brian (Melanie) Lomax of Silverhill and Doris Ann (Dodie) Allen of Silverhill; a sister, Margaret Comstock of Interlachen, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Angela Lomax, Stephanie Lomax, Jerica Lomax, JR Lomax, Natalie Murphy, Nicholas Lomax, Rachel Lomax, Rebekah Lomax, Kristina Bielarski and Morgan Allen; and his close friends, Jack Ard, who shared the love of Atlanta Braves baseball, Brittany Ard, Kayla Ard and Summer Ard; and many friends and family.
A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, from 2 until 3 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, Dale O. Knee, “A Hero’s Wish Fund.”
