Introducing Liam, born March 4, while his Mom was a resident at Mary’s Shelter Gulf Coast. Liam is growing by leaps and bounds after a rocky beginning. He is now “home” at the shelter with his Mom and enjoying the adulation of staff and volunteers. While Liam concentrates on growth and development, his Mom is making arrangements to attend college and provide a home for her son.

Mary’s Shelter Gulf Coast is a home for homeless adult pregnant women. The shelter provides a safe, loving atmosphere for the prospective mother while she awaits the birth of her child. In addition, counseling and programs including parenting, childcare, housekeeping, money management, career planning and job training are available to help the mother develop character, maturity and responsibility.

A non-discriminatory facility, Mary’s Shelter Gulf Coast accommodates homeless pregnant women of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties in Florida as well as Mobile, Baldwin and Escambia counties in Alabama. It is located in Elberta.

Mary’s Shelter Gulf Coast is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible according to IRS guidelines for 501(c)(3) organizations. For information call (251) 986-6200.
