George Herve Blais Sr., 71, a resident of Bay Minette, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 at his residence.
He retired as foreman for Kaiser Aluminum and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the occupational campaign in Germany.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Louise Blais.
Survivors include three children, George H. (Sharon) Blais Jr. of Bay Minette, Penny Louise (Dan) Ahoe of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Roland E. (Kathleen) Blais of Daphne; sister Teresa Gosnell of Ashland, N.C.; nine grandchildren, George H. Blais III, Thomas Brandon Blais, Sheree Danielle Blais, Misty Marie Griffith Williams, Elinor O. Thomas, James David Outlaw, Amanda L. Outlaw, Jessica Holt and Caleb Holt; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6 at St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev. Ernie Hyndman officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are George H. Blais III, Thomas Brandon Blais, Caleb Holt, Dan Ahoe, David Outlaw and Jame E. Thomas.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Community Hospice, 311 D’Olive Street, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
